Recently, the research team of Cai Menghao has made important progress in the design of new yeast expression, having developed an efficient yeast protein expression platform that can respond to user-defined signals. The related research article is published online in Science Advances.

The article is first-authored by Post-doctoral Fellow Liu Qi, and corresponding-authored by Associate Professor Cai Menghao. Postgraduate students Peng Qiangqiang (who has graduated) and Song Lili (who is now a    Doctoral Candidate) participated in the relevant experimental work as the main participants. The research was financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Program, the Shanghai Young Science and Technology Rising Star Program, and Central University Basic Research Fund.
